My Soap Opera Life

Hey everyone. There have been some noteworthy events in my life as of late (which NEVER happens), so I thought I'd share them with you! Yesterday was literally right out of a soap opera, so I'm gonna spill for entertainment's sake. It's all true, but names have been changed and some incriminating details have been omitted (LOL!) The first thing that happened to me on Wednesday was:


I lost my job...

This is my best friend T. I shared the bad news, and she was over in a flash with a shoulder to cry on. She recently got a job at a store here in town working 5 or 6 days a week, so that was seriously hindering our girl time. We had planned going to our favorite pizza place that night weeks in advance, and

I wasn't about to let my job woes get in the way!

This is Hottie Pizza Place Boy, who happens to work where T and I were planning to go to dinner. I've had a few classes with him this semester. He is by far the smartest guy in any of my classes. I finally became acquainted with him when a mutual friend invited us to dinner. It was obvious we have chemistry, but he has a girlfriend...who works with my friend T.

--NEXT DAY--

Jess [6:48 AM]: sorry for falling asleep on you last night! I'm available any night after 5, so you choose.

Hottie Pizza Place Boy [5:59 PM]: Hey you im off all day on friday whats your schedule looking like

Jess [7:46 PM]: does 6 work for you? where should we go?

Hottie Pizza Place Boy [8:03 PM]: Somewhere private lol just kidding we can im anywhere if you have any ideas im not picky

Jess [8:16 PM]: Hmm... How about a Starbucks?

Hottie Pizza Place Boy [8:17 PM] that actually sounds really good

Jess [8:20 PM]: I know. I'm full of great ideas. ;)

Hottie Pizza Place Boy [8:47 PM]: I bet you are. you seem like a really creative girl.

Jess [9:02 PM]: Aww... Thanks. :) Goodnight, [Hottie Pizza Place Boy].

Hottie Pizza Place Boy [9:04 PM] g'night, cutey. sweet dreams.

Since the dinner where I formally met Hottie Pizza Place Boy, we've studied together twice. *dreamy sigh* So fast forward to Wednesday - Two nights after my second study date with Hottie Pizza Place Boy and the day I lost my job. I spent the afternoon at T's house, and we headed over to The Pizza Place around 6:00 PM. I was glad to see that

Hottie Pizza Place Boy was working, and he looked so happy to see me! He walked right over and asked me how I'd been, etc. and got us seated.

After that, I kind of ignored Hottie Pizza Place Boy as he made his rounds, because after all, it was GIRL'S night! T and I were just getting into nitty gritty girl talk when my friend L called and asked where I was. She came over minutes later (the plan was for it to be T's and my night to catch up, but we didn't mind L showing up too much).

Next walks in this guy who I once rode up to Provo, UT with when L and I went on a roadtrip. I know that this guy has the hots for my BFF T and has been texting her lately, so I knew it was no coincidence that he showed up... It was probably scheming done by L. He makes his way over to our table, then he sits beside me and proceeds to make small talk like *I'm* the one he was interested in, but internally I was rolling my eyes.

Next walks in C's sister, who happens to be Hottie Pizza Place Boy's girlfriend. AWKWARD. After she had a chance to hang out with Hottie Pizza Place Boy for a few minutes, she and her brother C eventually left.

After a while, L asked us if we wanted to go party with some boys from our rivalry school. T and I decided we'd take one for the team, because there was one boy in particular that L wanted to meet up with, but he had two friends with him! Sidenote: Hottie Pizza Place Boy was sure to give me a long and touchy-feely hug on our way out.

Back to the 3 new guys we were on our way to go hang out with. One of the 3 guys ended up bailing, so it made for an awkward night. L and her new "guy friend" were exclusive all night, leaving me and T to fend for ourselves with this other guy named K. First of all, let me tell you that K is a total babe. He looks like a mix between Dane Cook and Ryan Reynolds:




Well, he was so nice and we had a blast. Even though he was flirty with me AND T, I could tell T was the one he was really interested in. However, T wasn't interested and kept telling him how he should get to know ME better. It was an interesting dynamic... I ended up getting home about 4:00 AM, which wasn't so bad because I didn't have a JOB to go to this morning.

So that was basically my eventful Wednesday! Lost my job, got to see Hottie Pizza Place Boy, Hottie Pizza Place Boy's girlfriend, Hottie Pizza Place Boy's girlfriend's brother who happens to have the hots for my best friend T, and then hung out with T and K for hours, trying to make the awkward triangle work.

I know that doesn't tie up any loose ends for you, but hey! That's real life. I'll keep you posted. ;)
